CONWEAVER Webinar - Code of PLM Openess with Dietmar Trippner
The Code of PLM Openness (CPO) is a guarantee for transparency and openness of software, based on the voluntary commitment of software manufacturers. The CPO links IT requirements with those of the companies. Due to the stability and openness of the interfaces, data can be used permanently throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The standard addresses criteria such as interoperability, infrastructure, extensibility, interfaces, standards and architectures all the way to partner relationships and thus permeates every important part of the organization.
Companies like Schaeffler, thyssenkrupp or BMW have recognized the strategic importance of open systems for their business models. In the webinar, Dr. Dietmar Trippner, co-initiator of the code, and Joachim Caspar, project manager for the CONWEAVER certification, talk about the value of openness in IT systems. What benefits do companies derive not only in terms of infrastructure, but above all on the business side through improved cooperation, leaner processes or effective change management? And how does this ultimately benefit the end user?
